The Homosassa Riverside Resort is situated on the banks of the Homosassa River. The resort is a great place to relax and have fun! There are endless activities such as river tours, manatee tours, fishing charters and more. You can share a sunset and riverside cocktail or just spend time dreaming by the pool. Your likely to be entertained by the antics of the monkeys on Monkey Island, manatees in the river or passing dolphins!

The waterfront resort has one and two-bedroom riverfront rooms and suites complete with balconey or patio. You can bring your boat and pay a small fee for ramp use and boat slip space. Some of the other on-site amenities include…

Riverside Crab House
The beautiful, family-friendly, main dining room has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Homosassa River. Fresh blue crabs caught from the river by local fisherman are served daily.

Yardarm Lounge
Citrus County’s oldest and most favorite riverside lounge. Floor to ceiling glass, second story panoramic view of the Homosassa River. Featuring entertainment and history. Make new friends while enjoying your favorite cocktail at the 65′ cooper bar. What a beautiful slice of local history.

The Monkey Bar
Fun in the trees! This double-decker tiki bar overlooks our very own Monkey Island. Enjoy cool island drinks and entertainment while watching the antics of the monkeys, the passing dolphins, the jumping tarpon, playful otters, manatee, and many native birds… including Bald Eagles.  Oh yes, and the people.

I use to go at this place for years in the late 80s and all through the nighties up til 97 I believe .Looking at these photos everything is differant WOW! Please let me know the new rates for everything. I always brought my boat and parked it right outside our room and there was no ramp fee but I remember one year my trailer broke in half and the welder on site was unable to fix it so i rented a slot under the covered area to the side of the motel for around 75.00a month so as you can see it’s been awhile. Look forward to hearing from you all Thanks Willie

There is fishing of every kind here! We have fishing guides leave right from the Resort property daily or you can cast a line from the docks if you are staying in the hotel. Mr. Gleaton there have been many changes since then, but we try to keep restoring not replacing :) Basic hotel rooms start at $65 per night and Suites with full kitchens start at $135.00. We still provide boat slips to our guest and do have a ramp for those just visiting for the day. Our website is http://www.riversideresorts.com and don’t forget about our LIVE MONKEY CAM, you can check out the monkeys 24/7
Hope to see you all soon,
Ralph, Sassy, Ebony, Eve and Emily~ Monkey Island

I used to come to Riverside Resort with my family 30 years ago. Now, I live in Citrus county and we love to go to the Monkey Bar and watch the monkeys. This is a must stop when we have out of town visitors and they enjoy it everytime!

The Old Homosassa Village Association welcomes everyone to come see experience and explore what we have to offer. Old Homosassa is a unique Florida fishing village about 90 minutes west of Orlando north of Tampa and southwest of Gainesville in the heart of the Nature Coast.
